I breed a few litters per year with the goal of producing conformationally correct puppies who will be the smartest puppy you will ever own! My dogs all go to work with me every day. Puppies are given extensive stimulation when young to make them smart and to make them afraid of NOTHING! They will be ready to learn anything and do anything. They will LOVE agility, earthdog, Rally, etc.! Their parents will have been tested for all of the recommended tests for the breed and more and they will have passed those tests or they won't be bred! My puppies are extremely well socialized to people and other dogs and make loving, smart pets ready to sit on the couch with you or climb to the top of a mountain with you or anything in between! I do give health guarantees with my puppies. If the dog ever shows up with a genetic problem you get a new dog or your money back! Puppies go to homes with a microchip implanted and their first shots. This breeder is willing and able to answer your questions and help you when you have a problem.

Border Terriers are sweet, smart little dogs who love to please and who do everything! They get titles in earthdog, one of their favorite, agility, another favorite, obedience, loving, Rally, tracking, conformation, loving, flyball, nose work, loving, etc. They love to eat, but they love children even more than that! They make great family dogs. Did I mention that they are loving. Their favorite thing is to be with their person/people. There are some drawbacks to Border Terriers though. They are NOT for everyone. They are terriers and are therefore hunters. They love to hunt and if they see a squirrel or a cat that isn't theirs or a bird or anything that runs from them, they will chase it in a very determined manner. They will NOT look both ways when they cross the street chasing the varmint and they will be killed if one doesn't keep them on a lead or in a fenced yard. They also need grooming. If let go, their coats will start to make them look like Benji, and they will start to shed. It isn't much work to keep their coats, but it is some. One needs to be aware of that and ask their breeder to help them learn how to groom their dog. It is something anyone can do. Border Terriers are usually the top dog in their classes. They are smart and love to learn and to please. They are fun, small and therefore portable dogs and loving to beat the band!

We did wonderfully at the 2011 National Specialty, with at least 13 ribbons being taken home by Elwha dogs, including WINNERS DOG who also obtained an Award of Merit with an invitation to Crufts. We will be going to Crufts in March. I have puppies due in March and a litter planned to come in June.
